Another Engbers Update

We have had another busy week in the Engbers household. I (Erin) am finally getting over a not so fun cold/allergies outbreak. We thought Jon had stayed clear of getting sick as well, but from the sneezing and blowing I heard from him this morning, I think I may have passed my germs. Tonight we are hoping to go for pizza with some friends of ours at Wig and Pen - an Irish Pub type restuarant in Iowa City that has really good pizza. I have been studying Pharmacology flash cards with Jon this past week...I (and Jon) are really getting to know those medications!!! Jon has his first Pharmacology test on Monday. Pharm was one of my LEAST favorite subjects in school, but Jon doesn't seem to mind it. It is a lot of memorization, which is never too difficult for him.
In other exciting news, our friends Brent and Erin Butler had a little baby girl early this morning. Her name is Lucy Beth. I think we are going to go see her tomorrow morning sometime so maybe I can post a picture later!!! (I have posted on here before about Brent and Erin. We met them through our church in Iowa City. They both help do missionary work for an organization called Campus Crusade at the Univ of Iowa. They are both amazing people, and we are very excited for them!)
I think that is all the new info I have for now, hopefully I can post some new pictures this weekend. Stay tuned. . .

Nicaragua Trip ~ Part 3

We all had a good laugh when this horse and wagon pulled up to the gas pump.  We were curious where they were going to put the gas but then realized there was a small tank on the trailer.  Waiting at an intersection for a cattle crossing. We drove about 1 hour from Leon to visit Lake Managua and Momotombo, the volcano in the background.  The volcano lets off steam continuously and actually has a geothermal plant within the volcano that captures energy to be used for electricity. April Pics

April seemed to fly by so I'm glad I snapped some pictures to remind me of what we did during these 30 days! Clara likes to entertain her baby brother by getting out all his toys and books.  He does a fairly good job sitting nicely and watching/listening to her chat away.  Both Olivia and Clara can get Eli to smile as well as Jon or I.  He really responds to them! It is fun to start seeing many different expressions from this little guy.  He has us laughing with all his funny faces. This is Elijah's 'not impressed' face. Elijah's favorite way to nap is by his mom and with his blanket up by his face. He also likes to rest on his tummy. We were able to spend some time with grandpa and grandma Peters while they were back visiting.  The girls enjoyed some help with their puzzles! These girls never turn down an ice cream treat!
